DUNGEONS & DRAGONS The Twenty-Sided Tavern: Powered by Gamiotics
The Twenty-Sided Tavern is an immersive theatrical experience developed and created by David Carpenter using the Gamiotics platform.
The concept was originally developed during the pandemic as part of a online entertainment series called “Seize the Show.” Dungeons & Dragons style game play offered itself as the perfect vehicle for bringing the first Gamiotics product to the theatrical marketplace.
The first live in-person presentation happened in September 2022 at the Philly Fringe Festival. It did one off performances as it developed in October / November 2022 at The Asylum NYC. A full week of sold out performances at The Asylum proceeded a month long developmental run at The Pittsburgh CLO in March of 2023. The Tavern did a week at the DR2 in NYC before becoming a sold out hit at the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The fall of 2023 brought it to The Broadway Playhouse in Chicago for a three month run. In May of 2024, a whole new version of the show premiered off Broadway at Stage 42 as the first ever stage theatrical license from Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro under the new title DUNGEONS & DRAGONS The Twenty-Sided Tavern. The production left NYC and went out in tour in the Summer of 2025. A second production premiered at the Sydney Opera House in December 2024 and ran for four months. Additional international productions are being planned.
